Rhonda Mayer has been our Waterscapes project coordinator since 2011. Her favorite thing about working here is the family-style relationships she has with her coworkers.
Rhonda loves when customer’s come in and get into great conversations with the team so they can learn more about them. This is the best way to envision the perfect pool for their life and style. She says clients from years back still contact her just to say hi, and one family even invited her to stay with them when Hurricane Irma came through and Myakka City lost power.
“I love when customers turn into friends,” says Rhonda.
Her favorite pool at the moment is the Discovery Center in Verandah. She loves the smooth, modern lines and classy design. This is Rhonda’s pool design philosophy in a nutshell – less is more. While some people love to see cascading waterfalls and bubblers popping up on the sun shelf, she enjoys a rectangular pool that lets its clean form speak for itself. And for her, the most important part of any pool project is to get tile that really pops and makes a statement.
In the little spare time she has, Rhonda is always on the go as a mom of three. She loves pro football – go Colts! – live concerts and going “glamping” (short for glamourous camping). Her youngest son, Brett, plays Pop Warner football – go East Manatee Bulldogs! – and her daughter, Harleigh, plays flag football – go Lakewood Ranch Mustangs! – so cheering on football pretty much takes over her life from August until the end of January.
